As ERIRO we have partnered with different stake holders to reach out to the Islanders,

Judith a lawyer by professional from Amponda Care Foundations shared her personal

Testimony and story as a means of Motivating both the OVC Girls and Boys, Parents and Guardians alike.

This was geared to stimulate them of the need to educate their little ones (Importance of Education) Judith admonished her listeners

To the parents and guardians;

  • Any parent or guardian doesn’t need to be coming from a rich or well to do back ground so as to be able to educate his or her a child.
  • She further recommended the relevancy of Education, even though it is UNIVERSAL EDUCATION, please take and support the learners and keep them in school.
     And to the learners or beneficiaries
  • she admonished them to focus on their studies and avoid anything that may distract them from achieving their desirable grades and ensuring that they themselves do not get and cause or engage in anything that may bring about disappointments to self and to their struggling relatives and sponsors.
  • She charged and called upon the beneficiaries to remain Focused, be dedicated, and utilize all possible opportunities to study.
  • In her remarks, Judith further surprised her listeners, as her case story corresponds directly with these same little Islanders, as she grew up as an Islander girl, in the next Island Kalangala after Buvuma Island,
  • Judith Further disclosed that she used to help her mother as a child with every little work available to raise school fees, requirements and as well as basic needs.
  • Judith disclosed that she would hawk, little things on the head from community-to-community house to house to find potential customers so as to be able to raise her school fees and meet some basic needs, inclusive the school needs.
  • Judith would move from place to place and the from the little collections she said my struggling mother managed to save and she would take me to school and as well buy at least the necessary requirements for me and my siblings to keep us in school.
  • The times were trying, during my early primary school days, I had no shoes in my feet, neither inner under wears, but here I’m today a Practicing Lawyer with hope for tomorrow.
  • That is why I’m here to motivate any girl and boy child out there to believe and work hard for a better tomorrow.
  • My mother has been my great inspiration, being a single parent, she has successfully led me to the heights, well you also islander parents can cheer your little ones in your humble state to higher levels.
  • We had many team members motivative and share their personal interesting stories of real life and how they were and what they went through to the step where they are right now.
